The Beginning

It's dark in here; very dark. It smells like fresh cardboard, a brand new t-shirt, and a nice new silver laptop. Yah! Some little boy yelled. I can't believe it, look at all these toys; I don't know where to start. Everybody Santa came!! I heard the sound of paper ripping into shreds, Children laughing and cameras flashing everywhere and Kodak moments. Finally, after about twenty-five minutes I heard a remote controlled car zooming my way then BAAM! ! The new car Crashed into me and I shook all over. Oops, I guess I forgot this one. And that is how it all started.

  Laky Adventure

Months, weeks have past since I first saw my master. It's close to the end of July. We have been on camping trips to cruise lines and Disney World. It has been fun but I know it is close to the end while deep inside me I know it's the very beginning. Well he was packing me up and I thought how he could be packing while it's so close to the end of summer. He said I couldn't wait until we get to laky. I thought what's so special about this lake we have been to a bunch of other lakes

He said I can't wait until we get too laky today; this is going to be so much fun!! They packed me up with a bunch of other bags in the pathfinder and we drove off. It took us about five hours before we got there. But before we did get there we ate lunch at Billy Bob's, and we also stopped at a meat house close to Concan. It was the most beautiful place I've ever seen. It had blue skies, raging rivers, and a nice cozy cuddly cabin at the end of a curving old road. We went on three-hour tube rides, thirty-minute night rides, and every ounce in a while we would swim down to the big rock and jump off of it.

  The Hunting Adventure

About half of the school year is over and ounce again Will is packing me up for another crazy adventure, but instead of bathing suits and t-shirts, he's packing me with blue jeans and long sleeve cameo shirts and jackets. He also packed some stuff that I had no clue what it was. Well anyway we drove off and it only took us 1/4 of the time as laky. It smelled like gunpowder and WD-40 on the way. Eventually we got there and it was cool. It had a huge river, a humongous river and a nice little cabin, and when we got inside it wasn't too shabby. The next morning Will and Grandpa got up early and left to go hunting. It took a while for everybody to get up, and while this was happening I was waiting for the people to say where he is. While the grown ups drank coffee and the kids played video games and cards. After about three hours everybody started to say that Will shot a deer. He came back and he surly did. And still today that same exact deer is hanging in his living room today.

  Universal Studios

Once again Will is packing me up for another crazy adventure. Its summer again and I have a feeling that this is going to be a good one. We drove to Austin and got on an American Airlines plane. It took a while but when we got there it was the coolest. We went on roller coaster and other cool rides. We rented a small car when we asked for a big car. Well we got to see things we thought we would never see in our lifetimes. We got to see firecrackers over a lake and huge Lego creations. We had a lot of fun times here and I hope we come back.

  Voyager of the Seas

He's packing me up from our adventure at Universal Studios. When I thought we were going home it was just part one for Orlando. We got some a plane and landed somewhere else in Florida. Then we caught a taxi and drove to the docks. We saw some of the coolest, biggest, most stupendous boats in the world. I thought that there is no way we are even going to step in the parking; lot. But we drove in the parking lot and went in this building that led us strait to the boat. It took us a trillion hours!! (When it was only about two.) The reason we had to stay in line so long is because of September 11. When we got on the boat ...... well its kind of hard to explain. ..... it was the coolest!! The boat was called The Voyager of the Seas. It's the biggest boat in the world! It was coolest because the atmosphere, all you can eat buffets, all the cool people and places, ice skating rink, in-line skating, put-put golf, and so much more. Did I mention the all you can eat buffets, restaurants, and pizzeria for free!

  5 Grade

The summer is over and Will forget to buy his backpack. He's going to buy one this afternoon. But instead of replacing it with his old backpack he is going to replace it with me!! We rode in terra's car to school, Fulton 4-5 Learning Center. When we got there it smelled like band new paper and freshly sharpened. Will made friends fast. Some were smart like Joey and Trevor, but some not so smart like Darin and Billy. We had a grand time. His teachers were Mrs. Etti, Mrs. Grady, and Mrs. Adams. We had Darin, Dylan, and Shawn for a sleep over, and Darin and Billy came over to do a project for Mrs. Adams. We all hung out until Will bought a new roller backpack, but he still used me.

  The Ending

Fifth grade is over and summer is once again almost over and Will is packing me up for Laky again. But this year we got a different cabin that is bigger and the only thing that is separated from our old cabin is a cabin that someone owns. Unfortunately this would be the last trip for me. Everything was going great as planed until we decided to go on a night ride. They filled me up with snacks and drinks. They put me in a tube and tide the tube onto Eddy's tube. We set of and once we hit the rapids I nearly fell off. (Because they forgot to tie me on with a rope. When I thought it was it was close to be over a huge waterfall came out of nowhere and flipped everyone and tossed me down the river and all the drinks and snacks came poring of me and went strait to the bottom. When thought it was all over I drifted up on shore and I was all torn and tired and I fell asleep until morning. When I woke up a man who was in the air force on vacation said your coming With me to Iraq. But that's a different story.

  About the Author

Will Peterson wrote this book and this would not be possible without my friends, family, and most of all Mrs. Adams. Mrs. Debaun allowed us to write this in the computer lab so we can't forget her. And my dad for his support. And everyone else I know because they inspired me to write this book. This wouldn't be possible without them. But we cannot forget my hand that wrote this and slaved over a hot pencil to write it. But the most important is the soldiers that are risking their lives to protect us back home.

THANK YOU ! ! !
